Nextpower is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist in Saudi Arabia to develop and manage its local supply chain as local supply becomes more strategic.The Manufacturing Engineering department is responsible for driving the industrialization, ramp‑up and continuous improvement of the steel processes and supplier network through deploying category/region/supplier-specific strategies and establishing strategic relationships with core suppliers.He/She will also be responsible to ensure correct execution of all the activities related to define, develop and launch a new or improved product or supplier.We Are Looking For Someone Who DemonstratesPassionate drive to innovate and create Integrity to the coreEnthusiastic customer focusConsistent interactive teamwork Desire for continuous improvement and top performance Organized and structuredHere is a glimpse of what you’ll do…Lead technical qualification efforts to support product launches. Support product development using the overall prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and successful criteria for product qualification and ramp. Focus will balance quality, customer satisfaction, cost, and sustainabilityCoordinate product management, engineering, quality, project engineering, applications engineering and vendors to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, ensures conformance with program task schedules and costsIdentify, and analyze problems, taking the initiative to implement improvements identified with a recognized business benefitLead cost reduction initiatives for assigned suppliersCoordinate the day-to-day activities required to deliver all projects and deliverables on timeTroubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues; own root‑cause analysis and corrective actions, documenting resultsHost recurring project meetings and deliver status updates to all stakeholdersActively participate in meetings and business development opportunities as neededInternal customer voice; an advocate for the customerVisit frequently suppliers and keep track of execution performanceHere Is Some Of What You’ll Need (required)…Advanced Negotiation skillsExperience with Saudi steel manufacturers and manufacturing process and regulationsExperience in CM or OEM manufacturing including two years working regularly with one or more factories on process development, DFM, tooling readiness, and product launchesExperience in at least two of the following processes: stamping, drilling, laser cutting, tube bending, or weldingSolid structuring and analytical skills to keep track of multiple projects and vendors, in an international and multicultural environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPointAbility to report and present a strategy at executive levelAdvanced communication skills (written and verbal)Fluent oral and written communications at least in English and ArabicStrong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills as a significant part of the team and suppliers are remoteResults orientated and demonstrated ability to think out of the box to drive resultsAbility to handle ambiguity and respond quickly and flexiblyAutonomousAvailability to travel on a regular basisHere Are a Few Of Our Preferred Experiences…Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or higher)8–10 years’ experience in heavy‑steel fabrication with proven ownership of equipment installation and volume ramp‑upExperience working in a multicultural environmentAt Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
