-Responsible for monitoring of food Safety & Quality Assurance activities in the department.
- Meticulously maintain all the food Safety & Quality Assurance records in the department.
- Coordinates with the Site Manager to sort out issues related to food Safety & Quality Assurance
- Trains and evaluate new Quality Control staff and submit necessary reports to the Site Manager.
- Coordinate with different sections of the unit to sort out food Safety & Quality Assurance issues based on Daily Hygiene Report.
- Monitor and maintain pest control activities undertaken by the pest control contractor for the unit.
- Ensures that laboratory related activities viz. drawing of samples (food, water, handprints, cleaning control) are regularly conducted by Quality Controllers on-duty.
- Investigate with respective departments on customer complaints and give a comprehensive and logical feedback along with corrective action taken to the Section head.
- Provides new hire training, refresher training, and on-job-training for all food handlers as per the training schedule.
- Liaises with the medical department for food handler’s certificates, staff posts vacation clearance and staff infection control, etc.
- Carry out follow-up hygiene inspection of supplier’s premises and outlets as and when assigned.
- Prepare the roster to monitor and maintain 24 hrs coverage of food Safety & Quality Assurance activities in the unit.
- Coordinate with Site Manager regarding yearly department budget each year.
- Ensure optimum use of Stationary, Printing, Office supplies, Lab. Chemical etc.
- Complete any other related tasks assigned by the Site Manager.
- Act as Site Manager during his absence (During delegation period).
- Conduct the safety inspection & prepare the report.
- Conduct safety related training needs in the workplace.
- Maintains awareness of active and developing situations.
- Assist accident Investigation team for investigation.
- Conduct the on-job training, TBT, safety brief awareness …etc.
- Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.
- Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
- Promotes safe practices at the job site.
- Enforces safety guidelines.
- Responds to employee’s safety concerns.
