Job Purpose:
To supervise and lead shift operation activities of water production plant and all related auxiliaries ensuring uninterrupted potable/process water supply in a safe, efficient and reliable manner.
Key Duties & Responsibility:
- Conduct shift handover at starting and ending of the shift, including plant status, detailed activities and review shift reports of the previous shift to ensure full awareness of status.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety and environmental controls procedures across plant to guarantee employee safety and environmental compliance.
- Monitor and control plant process parameters within defined limits to ensure delivery of high-quality and uninterrupted services.
- Raise and approve notifications corrective Maintenance notifications to correct the plant defects.
- Prepare and issue Permit to Work as per PTW procedure and conduct safe isolation prior to hand over PTWC.
- Normalize system/ Equipment after completion of maintenance works as per PTW and isolation procedures.
- Review Control Room and Field Operator log sheets, reports to ensure correct and complete data.
- Conduct a routine site visit to ensure plant housekeeping and safe work environmental.
- Participate in daily PDR meetings to ensure smooth coordination for plant activities with all disciplines.
- Supervise and participate in daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly routine tests and inspections as per standard operating procedure.
- Supervise CRO and Field operator activities during start-up, normal operation shut down and troubleshooting to facilitate the work execution and ensuring safe and proper action.
- Respond to emergencies such, troubleshooting problems to take correct action to restore, normalize, arrange for support required during non-working hours such as night shift, weekend or holidays.
- Identify areas of improvement and coordinate with WP management for continuous improvement.
- Follow up and evaluate performance of shift team to identify the strength and weakness and recommend the required training to improve performance.
- Keep continues discussion with shift team in procedure and work instruction to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer within the team.
- Manage shift vacation/training according to the approved schedule.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education Requirements:
University degree in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 5 years’ relevant operational experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- 3 years’ experience in Water production including PDP program.
- Previous supervisory/man-management experience
