Job Summary

The Leasing Specialist is responsible for managing and executing the leasing of retail units within mixed-use real estate developments. The role focuses on attracting suitable tenants, negotiating commercial terms, and completing lease agreements to maximize occupancy rates and investment returns.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and attract prospective retail tenants through direct marketing, broker networks, and industry relationships.
Market and present retail units within mixed-use developments to brands, retailers, and investors.
Negotiate lease terms including rental rates, lease duration, fit-out periods, incentives, and other commercial conditions.
Prepare, review, and coordinate retail lease agreements in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
Coordinate unit handover, fit-out, and opening activities with tenants and property/project management teams.
Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with tenants to ensure high occupancy and tenant retention.
Monitor retail performance and conduct market and competitor analysis to achieve an optimal tenant mix.
Prepare regular leasing reports covering occupancy levels, leasing activity, and pipeline status.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
Proven experience in retail leasing or commercial leasing, preferably within mixed-use or large-scale developments.
Strong negotiation, communication, and deal-closing skills.
Solid understanding of retail real estate markets and commercial leasing practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in property management and leasing software is an advantage.
