This role offers more than a title. You will sit at the centre of football operations during a period of growth, visibility, and transition. You will help shape how Al-Qadsiah is seen, heard, and understood, locally and internationally.
Overview
As Senior Media Manager – Football, you will lead all football media operations across Al-Qadsiah’s men’s and women’s teams. You will manage day-to-day media activity around Head Coaches, senior players, and football leadership, while setting standards for delivery, messaging, and professionalism.
You will work closely with Sporting Directors, Head Coaches, and first-team staff. You will also play a strategic role in shaping club messaging, supporting long-term growth, and positioning Al-Qadsiah as a leading Saudi Pro League club during a key phase of development.
This is a senior, hands-on role combining frontline delivery with leadership and planning. You will lead football media staff and act as the escalation point for sensitive or high-profile football matters.
Key Responsibilities
First Team and Head Coach Media Management
- Act as the primary media contact for the Men’s and Women’s First Team Head Coaches
- Prepare and deliver media briefings, key messages, and talking points
- Accompany Head Coaches to press conferences, interviews, and official media commitments
- Manage daily media requests involving senior playing and coaching staff
- Advise the CEO, Sporting Directors, and technical leadership on media risk and strategy
- Handle sensitive or high-pressure media situations with authority and discretion
Football Media Operations
- Lead football media activity across men’s and women’s teams
- Oversee press conferences, interviews, and training ground access
- Manage matchday media operations in line with league and broadcast regulations
- Coordinate accreditation, press lists, schedules, and embargoes
- Draft and approve press releases, statements, and reactive communications
- Act as escalation lead for crisis or reputational issues linked to football
Strategic Communications and Club Growth
- Contribute to the club’s wider communications strategy during a period of expansion
- Support messaging around infrastructure development, stadium plans, and transfer windows
- Help grow Al-Qadsiah’s profile in domestic and international markets
- Align football communications with commercial, brand, and fan engagement objectives
- Support long-term planning linked to Saudi football growth and global positioning
Leadership and Team Development
- Line-manage football media coordinators across men’s and women’s teams
- Set standards for tone, delivery, and professionalism
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff embedded within football departments
- Ensure strong coordination across media, events, academy, and women’s football
- Build trusted working relationships with coaching, performance, and executive teams
Stakeholder and External Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and international media
- Liaise with league officials, broadcasters, and governing bodies
- Coordinate football-related media obligations with commercial partners
- Support senior leadership with briefings and external communications
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience in a senior media or communications role within professional football
- Strong understanding of football media regulations, broadcast requirements, and league protocols
- Experience managing high-pressure and fast-moving media situations
- Excellent writing and editing skills across press releases, statements, and briefings
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders including executives, coaches, and players
- Experience leading or mentoring media staff
Desirable
- Experience contributing to wider communications or brand strategy within a sports organisation
- Experience supporting major club growth initiatives or international expansion
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East
- Multilingual capability, English required, Arabic or Spanish preferred
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Communications, Media, Journalism, Sports Management, or a related field
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in Communications, Media, or Sports Management
- Professional training in media relations, PR, or communications
