The Specialist, Strategic Planning, is responsible for supporting in the strategic planning process at the center, in order to ensure the development of an effective strategic plan and objectives for SCISP. Additionally, the role is responsible of assisting in the development and management of SCISP’s business plans in close coordination with the relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, this role is responsible for aligning sectors, departments strategies to the center’s strategy, and reporting on the performance of these sectors and departments through setting and monitoring appropriate KPIs to ensure achievement of the center’s strategy and objectives.
• Support the facilitation and development of SCISP overall strategy, which includes the vision, mission, values, strategic objectives and goals in coordination with the VP, Strategic Planning & Project Management, and in close cooperation with SCISP’s Management, while ensuring alignment with the overall KSA vision.
• Support the facilitation, development and implementation of business plans to support the execution of SCISP strategic vision and direction on an annual basis, and in coordination with SCISP’s sectors and departments.
• Facilitate the cascading of SCISP’s strategy throughout the center, ensuring objectives and strategies defined by the sectors, departments and sections are aligned with SCISP’s strategy and operating model.
• Develop relevant leading and lagging KPIs in line with strategic objectives, and cascade KPIs for each sector down to the lowest level to ensure involvement of all employees in objectives measurement.
• Manage and continuously monitor the performance of the sectors, departments and sections in implementing their strategies and business plans to ensure performance deviations are identified in a timely manner, and required resources and actions are implemented to meet performance targets.
• Develop a data collection framework and communicate to various SCISP sectors, departments and sections in order to track the strategy plan implementation and KPIs.
• Develop reporting framework and design reporting tools for monitoring purposes.
• Identify strategy implementation shortfalls and recommend corrective actions to mitigate deviations from annual plans and targets, and support updating of annual business plans accordingly.
• Assist in evaluating and providing recommendations in response to any changes to SCISP’s strategic direction, and conduct the reflection of necessary business changes.
• Facilitate the proper communication and circulation of SCISP’s overall strategy and business plan across SCISP.
• Develop and maintain corporate risk management framework and risks register.
