Workshop Manager (Wood, Aluminum & Steel Fabrication)
Our contracting company is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Manager to oversee and lead our wood, aluminum, and steel fabrication workshop. We are looking for a candidate with strong technical expertise and solid experience in managing multi-discipline fabrication operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations for wood, aluminum, and steel fabrication activities.
Lead and supervise workshop teams to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to standards.
Plan and monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of all fabrication work.
Review and ensure compliance with technical specifications and approved drawings.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for workshop machines and equipment.
Coordinate material requirements, inventory levels, and align with the Procurement Department.
Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and address any operational risks.
Improve workflow processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Collaborate closely with Project, Engineering, and Finance departments.
Prepare regular reports on production status, manpower, equipment performance, and quality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 10 years’ experience managing wood, aluminum, or steel fabrication workshops (experience in all three is an advantage).
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes including cutting, welding, assembly, and finishing.
Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams within a workshop environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop drawings.
Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of safety standards in industrial workshops.
Proficiency in computer applications; experience with workshop/ERP systems is a plus.
